As an upper cervical chiropractor I pay special attention to the neck, especially the first bone in the spine known as the Atlas (C1). It is quite common that people who suffer from vertigo have a misaligned Atlas bone. When the atlas is not in its proper position it affects the ears which control balance through the brain and nervous system. Through a careful and detailed process I determine the exact position of the atlas and can correct through a period of care. Studies have shown that patients with vertigo have not only reduced their symptoms but have even had complete resolution.2
